About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Compliance Officer to join our team at OKX. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our compliance strategy across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and implementation of our compliance program, ensuring alignment with global standards and industry best practices.
  2. Manage a team of Compliance Heads/MLROs, providing guidance and support to ensure effective compliance across all OKX entities in the EMEA region.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement a robust compliance management program, ensuring seamless integration with our business operations.
  4. Monitor and assess compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including MiCA, GDPR, and other regional regulations.
  5. Develop and maintain effective compliance reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to senior management, management committees, and the board.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with key regulators in the region, ensuring proactive engagement and effective communication.
  7. Provide guidance and support to business teams on compliance matters, ensuring a strong control environment that meets regulatory standards.
  8. Assist with special projects as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, preferably in financial services, FinTech, or cryptocurrency industries.
  2. Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory risks in the crypto industry.
  3. Proven experience in developing and implementing effective compliance management programs, aligned with EU/UK standards and industry best practices.
  4. Experience with relevant US and EU laws and requirements, including AML/CFT, sanctions, consumer protection, and privacy.
  5. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
