Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified senior finance professional to join our team as our Director of Finance and Resources. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our organization.

About the Role

The Director of Finance and Resources will be responsible for leading our finance function, providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure the financial sustainability and growth of our organization. You will work closely with our Chief Executive, Treasurer, and Board of Trustees to develop and implement financial plans, policies, and procedures that support our mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the organization
  • Lead the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Provide financial guidance and advice to the leadership team and Board of Trustees
  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Significant experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit organization
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and laws, with the ability to ensure compliance
