Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Library Circulation Desk Supervisor at Utah State University. This position is responsible for supervising student employees, creating training materials, and maintaining the Reserve Books Room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train student employees to provide excellent customer service and ensure the smooth operation of the circulation desk.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of student employees.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics related to library patronage and circulation services.
  • Coordinate and manage the shelving, relocation, and maintenance of printed library materials.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of library policies and procedures.
  • Provide backup support for makerspace and special collections patrons.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a library setting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of library software and equipment.
