Job Description

As a Consultant in Community Geriatric Medicine, you will play a central role in developing and delivering our community services in the Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Locality.

You will be based at Gosport War Memorial Hospital (GWM) and/or Petersfield Community Hospital (PCH), working as part of a multi-disciplinary team across in-patient and community services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing senior and experienced clinical oversight to complex and challenging patients
  • Medical advice and guidance to in-patient wards
  • Working closely with acute Trust colleagues to support treatment escalation and rehabilitation pathways

Person Specification: MBBS or equivalent, MRCP or equivalent, full registration with the GMC, CCT or equivalent in GIM.
