The Role

This is a brand-new role where you will lead a small NPD team from concept through to launch on complex food products. You will work closely with the commercial team to collaborate with leading UK retailers and ensure new briefs are understood and achievable. You will use your technical understanding to create delicious new concepts that take into account new ingredients, new technologies, and ensure high-quality and production potential are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small NPD team from concept through to launch on complex food products.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to work with leading UK retailers.
  • Develop technical understanding to create new concepts.
  • Work closely with production teams to run trials and overcome production hurdles.
The Person

We are looking for an accomplished NPD professional who has a Food Science degree and experience in concept development and launch within the UK food and drink industry. Previous food manufacturing experience is essential to understand the ins and outs of this role. Experience within a complex food category, such as chilled convenience, ready to eat, or processed meals, is also essential.
