Job Title: Principal Drainage Engineer

About the Role:

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Drainage Engineer to join their team in a UK based consultancy. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Engineering, including a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, and be working towards chartered status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of detailed drainage systems using Infodrainage, Microdrainage, or Causeway Flow.
  • Complete Flood Risk Assessments and rainwater garden design.
  • Mentor team members and manage projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, developers, and stakeholders to develop business opportunities and grow the team.
  • Assist in the growth of a new team in central Birmingham, near the train station.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in Engineering.
  • Experience working within a UK based consultancy.
  • Chartered status and strong industry network.
