We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Centre Manager to join our team at Oxford Innovation Space. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our centre, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Assist in setting, monitoring, and developing standards for building presentation, including cleanliness, health and safety, and security.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with statutory and mandatory obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act, and maintain and deliver the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule in a timely manner.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Assist in procurement and management of contractors, suppliers, and consumables, and maintain the Centre Asset register & Contract Database.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, including assisting with initial tours, signing up new members, and maintaining customer records for audit purposes.
  • Financial Management: Support the Centre Director/Manager with financial management information, including invoicing customers and debt management, and assist in budget planning and monitoring of expenditure and cost.
  • Sales and Marketing: Assist in promoting available space in the centre, generating revenue from various products, and contributing to identifying additional revenue-creating opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the operational running of an asset of the size, character, and quality of the relevant centre.
  • Previous experience in a letting office environment preferred.
  • Clearly identifiable management skills to manage a team within a service environment, ensuring overall performance is maximised.
  • Evidence of negotiation skills within previous roles.

  • Salary of up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
