Senior Python Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Software Engineer to join our team at Burns Sheehan. As a key member of our backend software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend systems in Python.

About the Role

This is a greenfield project where you will contribute to:

  • Designing and building backend systems in Python
  • Sharing knowledge and working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders through demos
  • Contributing to the development of internal APIs
  • Connecting data sources to our data platform for easy consumption by customer apps
  • Automating tasks and aiding other teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience building data centric backend systems in Python within a startup or scale up environment
  • Ability to promote and implement coding best practices on the intersection of backend and data engineering
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and ideally DBT and Snowflake
  • Experience working with AWS and Terraform
