You will be a key member of the North Anglia team supporting 6 substations and the largest overhaul of the UK electricity grid in generations. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is upgrading the electricity grid to make it fit for the future.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical and Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties on Substation plant and equipment. This will include installation of new equipment, refurbishment and maintenance of existing equipment, fault investigation and repair, as well as routine condition monitoring in line with commercial targets.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum Level 2/3 recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering or an NVQ/Level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification with relevant fitting experience. You will also need to demonstrate good all-round engineering skills, including working to Safety Procedures, Mechanical Fitting, Electrical Fitting, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Working at Height, Lifting Operations, Panel Wiring, and Fault Finding.
