Finance Transformation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Transformation Manager to join our client, a multi-academy Trust, in a newly created position. This role will involve leading and delivering a new operational model for the finance function and academy, working closely with the Head of Finance and other stakeholders.

About the Role

This is a term-time only position, working 41 weeks per annum. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, ideally with a qualification such as ICAEW, ACCA, or CIMA. They will also have experience in budget management, financial planning and analysis, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a new operational model for the finance function and academy
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance and other stakeholders to ensure robust internal controls and statutory and regulatory reporting requirements are met
  • Design and implement a data source for budget holders, providing up-to-date information and analysis on budget vs variance on spend
Requirements
  • Qualified finance professional, ideally ICAEW, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Experience of budget management and ongoing FP&A analysis
  • Ability to manage a project, including process mapping
  • Experience of working within the education or academic sector is advantageous
