VAT Associate Director Opportunity

We are working with a leading Top 10 Accountancy firm in the North to find an experienced Indirect Tax professional to join their senior team. The successful candidate will be based in either Leeds or Manchester and will be a key part of the indirect tax team, supporting the current VAT Partners.

Your New Role:

This is a varied position that involves supporting OMBs, Groups, listed businesses, and PE-backed businesses with a range of indirect tax advisory needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on VAT matters and handling specialized technical assignments as needed.
  • Prioritizing responses to client correspondence and keeping both the client and partner updated on the status of VAT work.
  • Leading due diligence projects, reviewing the VAT affairs of businesses, and reporting findings clearly and promptly.
  • Staying informed about current VAT issues and opportunities and actively seeking to generate new business from existing and potential clients.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for clients on VAT queries, ensuring excellent client service at all times.
  • Coordinating effectively with other departments.
  • Monitoring work in progress reports closely to ensure profitable recoverability of work done and timely billing of clients.
