We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at JD Gyms in Yorkshire/Derbyshire.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our gyms maintain high standards of maintenance, providing an exceptional experience for our members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To carry out general repairs and maintenance across all our clubs based across Yorkshire/North East.
  • To deliver planned preventative maintenance on site, including proactive and reactive work.
  • To perform minor plumbing tasks, such as replacing taps, unblocking sinks and drains.
  • To deal with repairs as instructed by the facilities department.
  • To handle minor electrical repairs and fixings.
  • To undertake general redecorating works.
  • To identify and rectify potential hazards within the gyms.

Requirements:

  • To be multi-skilled in plumbing (copper and PVC), carpentry, and minor electrical works.
  • To possess basic building repair and maintenance skills.
  • To have knowledge of ventilation systems.
  • To be competent in redecoration and refurbishment works.
  • To be able to complete small plastering and wall damage works.
  • To be familiar with using small industrial/electrical/mechanical equipment.
  • To understand health and safety procedures and precautions.
  • To demonstrate literacy, numeracy, and IT skills sufficient to use our maintenance reporting system.
  • To be physically fit, with the ability to lift, bend, stretch, and work at heights.
  • To hold a clean driving license.
