About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to enhance our team at Royal Mail Group and contribute to the protection and resilience of our technical infrastructure.
As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will lead the maintenance and development of key security technologies across RMG's technology estate and provide senior-level expertise in information security to ensure the successful delivery of security projects within the Business as Usual (BAU) Security Operations Function.
You will work closely with the Head of Security Engineering to maintain and enhance essential security technologies, ensuring the Security Operations team has optimized access to necessary tools and information. You will collaborate with the Director of Security Operations, security architects, and technology operations teams to ensure the correct operation and optimal configuration of supporting security technologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position within a large, complex, and technologically diverse organization. Proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and configuring a wide range of security technologies, including SIEM solutions, DLP solutions, firewall solutions, cloud security centres, IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems), CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence) solutions, and vulnerability scanners, Proxy like Zscaler is essential.
A minimum of one professional certification; CISSP, CISM, CCSP, is required for this role. Additionally, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, are crucial for success.
