We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Supervisor to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Domestic Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure that all areas of the hospital are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to meet the needs of our patients, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor and control the usage and storage of cleaning consumables, ensuring their safe and secure storage and requisitioning additional stocks as required.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all areas of the hospital meet the required standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Provide training and support to cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Liaise with other departments and teams to ensure that cleaning operations are conducted in a way that minimizes disruption to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor and report any incidents or accidents related to cleaning operations, and take corrective action as necessary.
- Previous experience of cleaning at a supervisory level, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of National Standards of Cleanliness 2021 and health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
