Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized HR Advisor to join our dynamic Human Resources Team based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing generalist advice throughout the employee lifecycle, with opportunities to be involved in project work as we strive to become an employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve supporting Line Managers in all matters relating to HR, including terms and conditions, absence, and flexible working requests. You will also provide support during the TUPE process following acquisitions and maintain the integrity of our HR employee online database, ensuring clear audit trails and compliance with GDPR.

Further Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities will include providing support to employees' well-being, carrying out well-being at work assessments, and advising on other available support. You will also arrange and support disciplinary and grievance hearings and produce correspondence using standardized business formats.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR Advisory role.
  • A relevant degree or CIPD qualification or commitment to work towards gaining CIPD qualification.
  • A sound understanding of the principles of good HR practice and some knowledge of employment law, including TUPE.
  • Confident working with the latest technology and able to use technology intuitively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to persuade, influence, and challenge when appropriate.
  • A creative and analytical thinking style, applying tenacity in the face of obstacles.
  • A high level of personal integrity, demonstrated by displaying respect and empathy for others and being consistent, open, and honest.
