Job Title: Fabrication Estimator - Costing Specialist
Job Summary:
Texo Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fabrication Estimator to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Fabrication Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of fabrication projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for fabrication projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.
- Proposal Development: Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals for clients, including detailed scope of work, timelines, and cost breakdowns.
- Client Communication: Engage with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or queries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the fabrication team, project managers, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay updated on material costs, labour rates, and industry trends to ensure competitive pricing.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough records of all estimates, proposals, and relevant documentation for future reference and analysis.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the estimation process.
Requirements:
- Education: A relevant degree or equivalent experience in fabrication, engineering management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as an estimator in the fabrication or manufacturing industry.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Solid understanding of fabrication processes and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
