The biomethane industry is evolving rapidly, and we are seeking a skilled professional to manage biomethane and gas entry connections.

  • Managing a team to ensure biomethane and gas entry connections are processed and delivered to customer timescales, while ensuring all applicable safety, legislation and SG policies are adhered to.
  • Ensuring SGN delivers on government net-zero targets and SGN's ambition to green the gas in our networks.
  • Project managing and delivering / developing gas entry connections, which are primarily concentrated in the biomethane sector, from initial customer contact through to final gas to grid.
  • Liaising with project operators post commissioning to ensure full compliance with SGN's range of policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

  • Effective people manager with a focus on delivering projects to required timescales.
  • With a positive and flexible approach to work, you will be highly motivated with good organisational, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • You need to be an effective communicator, both in written form and orally at all levels.
  • A good level of technical knowledge on the operation of the gas network is essential, with a degree qualification in an appropriate discipline preferred.
  • Knowledge/experience of Industry Codes, Regulations and Legislation preferred.
  • Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate a high level of computer literacy and project management associated skills.
  • A certain amount of travel will be required to fulfil this role, so will require a full UK driving licence
