Job Title: General Maintenance Operative

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Operative to join our team at New Start. As a key member of our maintenance division, you will be responsible for maintaining the outdoor communal areas at all of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain the outdoor communal areas at all of our properties
- Liaise with the Maintenance Admin and external furniture suppliers to order furniture as and when needed
- Keep a monthly check on furniture stock and report this to the Maintenance Admin
- Ensure all PPE/health and safety is adhered to when handling SHARPS and dispose of them correctly and safely
- Clear out severely dilapidated properties ready for maintenance works
- Liaise with external contractors and collect supplies/materials and drop off at designated locations as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator/Management
- Ensure newly supplied washing machines are plumbed in and tested for water tightness
- Liaise with Project Managers to coordinate the disposal of previous tenants' belongings
- Drive the van in line with New Start's fleet policies

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar post
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise
- Can-do attitude
- Great team player
- Full, valid UK driving licence
