About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at DO & CO Airline Catering. As a key member of our production unit, you will be responsible for carrying out site-wide electrical and mechanical maintenance, installation work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement to increase and maintain production efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance: Perform repairs in line with Company standards, responsible for all maintenance checks, and carry out tasks related to electrical, mechanical, and utilities of all assets in all areas of our operations across multiple sites.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with other departments to communicate effectively, assist the Maintenance Manager, and adhere closely to repair schedules.
  • Planned Maintenance and Fault Finding: Effectively carry out all planned maintenance and support fault finding, proactively repair, maintain, and prevent breakdowns of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drainage, and other utilities on the unit.
  • Client and Customer Relations: Maintain a good working relationship with clients, third-party contractors, and parts vendors, communicate with clients and customers about work time, fault repairs, and downtime, working to minimize customer wait time and maximize solution efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Engineer in the food industry.
  • Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications – minimum Engineering NVQ or equivalent, knowledge of Health & Safety practices and regulations.
  • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, data-driven, ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement, and track solutions, strong numerical reasoning ability, and effective time management and prioritization skills.
