Job Title: Grid Infrastructure Specialist

Estimated Salary: £100,000 - £160,000 per annum.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Infrastructure Specialist to join our EMEA Energy & Water Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing energy generation and storage technologies and innovations, and supporting the design, execution, and implementation of sustainable power solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for AWS to stimulate the transition to a cleaner grid in delivery of growth to support our customers across the EMEA region.
  • Work with Amazon partner teams to support the development of strategic energy sourcing opportunities.
  • Manage energy projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings and sustainability goals.
Requirements:
  • Proven understanding of power market design and energy markets, with the ability to structure and formulate investment thesis for new technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging analytical skill set to analyze the implications of electrical grid infrastructure systems, energy policies, regulations, and utility tariffs.
  • Business language is English, with an ability to converse in German, Spanish, Swedish, or French advantageous.
