About the Role

Indesure Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Marine Claims Surveyor to join our team in a remote working capacity with ad-hoc visits. The ideal candidate will have experience in adjusting in a commercial environment and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of marine cargo and freight liability claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead investigations into marine cargo and freight liability claims, assessing the logistics and practices of cargo owners and carriers, and identifying the cause of each loss in line with policy cover.
  • Evaluate the responsibilities of both cargo owners and carriers across the transit chain, securing recoveries from other carriers and involved third parties as appropriate.
  • Handle a diverse range of claims involving first- and third-party liabilities, with exposure to numerous loss causes, locations, and cargo types.

Requirements:

  • Cert CII/Cert CILA or BACS qualified (or with a commitment to achieve such)
  • Able to demonstrate experience in adjusting in a commercial environment
  • Comfortable managing time and working under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Willing to undertake further training to fulfill the requirements of the role
  • Willing to travel on company business ad-hoc basis
  • Full UK driving license
