Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial records, assist with administrative tasks, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
  2. Support the finance team in processing transactions and reconciling accounts.
  3. Conduct data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to ensure up-to-date financial information.
  4. Help prepare financial reports and assist in budget tracking.
  5. Liaise with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  6. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data and adhere to compliance regulations.
  7. Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.

Requirements:

  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data handling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with team members and other departments.
  • Previous experience in a finance-related role is advantageous but not essential; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles would be beneficial.

Estimated Salary: £28,500 per annum, based on location and experience.
