About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team at Amber Labs. As a key member of our technology consultancy, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud architecture, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and a solid understanding of best practices for deploying and managing applications in AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure solutions using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, and others.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and release processes.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform to ensure consistency and reproducibility of environments.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability of AWS resources.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, working closely with development and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and drive project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services and their capabilities, including but not limited to EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Golang for automation tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
