About the Role

Forseven, a pioneering company in the electric vehicle industry, is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Body Structures to join our dynamic Strategic Sourcing Team.

This exciting opportunity will be based in one of our offices near Warwick, Bicester, or Guilford, where you will have the chance to collaborate with visionary professionals in the automotive field.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our company, leveraging your expertise to drive strategy and growth in the rapidly expanding EV industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain commodity strategies for a specific range of suppliers
  • Support and manage the negotiation and completion of Production Supplier Contracts within the commodity area
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and other support functions to develop the supplier strategy and ensure we are using the best technology, cost, and quality
  • Conduct and evaluate assessments of potential Suppliers and work with the Engineering Partner on the creation of Sourcing recommendations
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including supplier evaluation and risk management
  • Ensure that the Supplier can fulfill Programme targets, including timing, cost, quality, and technical attributes
Requirements
  • Procurement/Purchasing experience within a manufacturing/production-based environment
  • Exposure and experience in negotiation
  • Strong influencing skills with experience of creating and maintaining networks across all levels of the business
  • Understanding in developing structured commodity strategies
  • Basic understanding of QAF analysis
  • Eager to learn from Experienced Senior Buyers
