We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team in Crewe, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation.
  • Supervise the kitchen team and ensure smooth operation during service.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and delivered on time.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene according to health and safety regulations.
  • Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
