About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Architect to lead the architectural design and implementation of our AWS cloud infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient AWS cloud architectures that align with business objectives.
  • Cloud Migration: Drive the migration of existing monolithic systems to a modern, containerised cloud infrastructure.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead technical discussions with stakeholders to understand their requirements and recommend best practices and solutions.
  • Cloud Security: Develop and enforce best practices for AWS cloud architecture, ensuring compliance with security and data protection standards.
  • Cloud Optimization: Collaborate with development teams to decompose monolithic applications into microservices.
  • Cloud Expertise: Provide expertise and guidance on AWS services and tools to optimize performance and cost.
  • Cloud Monitoring: Monitor and analyze cloud environments to recommend improvements and upgrades.
  • Training and Development: Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for team members on AWS technologies and architecture best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS environments. AWS certifications are highly desirable.
  • Track Record: Proven track record of successful cloud migrations and monolith decomposition.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • DevOps: Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Networking and Security: Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance requirements on AWS.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Communication and Leadership: Effective communication and leadership skills.
