We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Research Associate to join our team at Nottingham Trent University. As a key member of our interdisciplinary project, you will contribute to the development and testing of antimicrobial coatings for urinary catheters.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in microbiology and experience in research laboratory settings. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to evaluate the efficacy of the coatings against various pathogens and optimize their performance.

About the Role:

  • Evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of the coating against key laboratory-based and clinically isolated bacteria.
  • Optimize the coatings following efficacy data from MetalloBio.
  • Test a lead coating methodology in complex models to assess coating effectiveness in physiologically relevant conditions.

Requirements:

  • PhD or MSc in Microbiology or related field.
  • Experience in research laboratory settings.
  • Strong background in microbiology and antimicrobial coatings.
