IT Manager Opportunity in Telford

This is a fantastic chance for an IT Manager to join a leading manufacturer in Telford. The company is a market leader in their field and requires an IT Manager to lead technical architecture for all IT systems within the business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategic IT and digital initiatives aligned with business unit strategy in close cooperation with Group IT.
  2. Ensure the secure and stable operation, deployment, and further development of BU-specific IT systems, IT services, IT infrastructure, and IT processes, including local ERP-system (Microsoft Dynamics) and connected reporting systems.
  3. Analyze business processes and identify process improvements based on software capabilities in line with business needs and demands aligned with Management.
  4. Develop and implement new IT systems based on demands of the Business in alignment with Global IT standards and processes.
  5. Responsible for the provision of local IT infrastructure and services, including desktop applications, networks, IT security, and telecommunications, derived from Group IT standards and using services provided by Group IT.
  6. Selection and control of internal and external IT service providers regarding performance and costs.
  7. Ensure and support successful implementation of IT projects and manage IT-related projects, meeting deadlines as requested.
  8. Ensure best practice solutions are in place for the company's systems in line with requirements and standards set by Group IT.
  9. Ensure compliance with global IT processes (such as demand and project portfolio management, etc.) and guidelines in business unit.
  10. Ensure compliance with internal and external IT policies and regulatory requirements, as well as IT security and IT emergency management requirements, including disaster recovery plan.
  11. Responsible for the annual local (internal and external) IT budget.
  12. Develop and monitor local company's IT Helpdesk; monitor and align tickets with Group IT.
  13. Management and supervision of all IT staff, including staff appraisals, setting objectives, disciplinary actions, etc.

  1. Hands-on approach with broad range of IT systems knowledge that can support 3rd line support responsibilities.
