About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating, underwriting, and managing a diverse portfolio of property and casualty risks while ensuring profitable growth and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate risk submissions for property and casualty insurance, determining appropriate coverage terms, conditions, and pricing in line with underwriting guidelines.
  2. Collaborate with brokers and other stakeholders to develop tailored insurance solutions, leveraging your strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  3. Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring profitability and growth targets are met, and providing excellent customer service to clients and brokers.
  4. Stay up-to-date with current market trends and regulatory requirements, applying your knowledge to inform underwriting decisions.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in Property & Casualty underwriting, with a strong understanding of the UK insurance market and regulatory environment.
  2. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  3. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to evaluate complex risk submissions.
  4. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
