About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Practitioner to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of clinical research studies, ensuring that all aspects of the research process are conducted to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage clinical research studies, including facilitating study set-up, identifying suitable patients, collecting data, and interviewing patients.
  • Work collaboratively with research teams and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the smooth delivery of research studies.
  • Ensure that patients are fully informed and involved in the research process, acting as a guide and advocate to patients throughout the decision-making process.
  • Participate in the informed consent process, ensuring adherence to the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research.
  • Evaluate patient eligibility and safe entry to clinical trials, coordinating investigations, obtaining results, and arranging appropriate appointments according to trial protocol requirements.
  • Register and randomize patients into clinical trial protocols.
  • Act as an ongoing resource and support to patients and their carers, providing practical advice and guidance on clinical trial participation.
