Mathematics Education Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mathematics Education Lead to join our esteemed team at Teaching Personnel. This permanent position offers the opportunity to make a profound impact on the educational journey of our exceptional students, fostering a love for mathematics and developing their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver high-quality mathematics instruction tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student progress.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Mentor and guide fellow mathematics teachers, providing professional development and support to enhance instructional practices.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, using data-driven approaches to inform teaching and learning.
  • Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence in mathematics.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Mathematics.
  • Extensive experience in teaching mathematics, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN teaching methodologies and the ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
  • Proven track record of achieving high standards of teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN-specific qualifications or training.
  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and resources used in SEN education.
