Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £450 per week

Job Type: Long Term, Full Time, Temporary to Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special needs in a primary school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with small groups of children through targeted interventions to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities such as supporting with local visits.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child can thrive and flourish.
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons and facilitating small group activities.
  • Support teachers in assessing student progress and providing informative feedback to pupils.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the children.

Requirements:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
