About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estates Manager to join our team at Sainsbury's. As an Estates Manager, you will play a crucial role in the proactive and effective management of our extensive property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage leases and associated lease transactions to minimize property costs and maximize flexibility within the designated region.
  • Manage external consultants and liaise with internal stakeholders, including Store Managers and Regional Operation Managers, to ensure seamless estate management.
  • Formulate recommendations on Landlord and Tenant matters, and build relationships with landlords and tenants to drive commercial settlements.
  • Oversee the implementation of internal projects impacting the Sainsbury's & Argos estate, and stay updated with market trends to inform estate management decisions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in property management, with relevant experience and ideally membership in RICS.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to use your own initiative to drive estate management decisions.
  • A deep understanding of lease events, landlord and tenant matters, and property market trends.
