Job Title: Depot Transport Manager

Red Kite Waste is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Transport Manager to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a small fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with transport and environmental legislation.
  2. Provide work instructions and monitor the performance of drivers and operatives, including briefing and debriefing during the working day.
  3. Ensure that all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to, including H&S induction and training, operating procedures, near miss reporting, and emergency procedures.
  4. Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to optimize fleet performance and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  2. Proven experience in a transport or logistics role, with a good understanding of CPC Road Haulage and ADR regulations.
  3. Strong IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office and experience with route planning packages.
  4. Good knowledge of waste management and recycling practices, with a focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
