About the Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Cranfield University. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing the deployment of instrumentation on explosive and ballistic trials, and accurately recording, processing, and presenting the resulting data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and operate a wide range of specialist instrumentation equipment on the range.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the Trials Conducting Officer and other team members.
  • Coordinate and assist with health and safety compliance across the site.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of scientific and technical theory related to data capture and analysis.

About You:

  • You will have an HND or Degree qualification in a relevant subject, or be studying for the same.
  • You will have recognised and substantial technical expertise in data capture, with a developed understanding through qualifications or experience of scientific/technical theory.
  • You will have excellent technical problem-solving, supervisory, planning, and organising skills.
