Aquatic Instruction Professionals

We are seeking a part-time Swimming Teacher to join our team at Lords Meadow, Crediton. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with pupils of all ages and abilities, teaching them essential swimming skills in a fun and supportive environment.

The role includes teaching group lessons and one-to-one sessions, as well as managing classes and maintaining accurate records. You will also be responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the facility, as designated by the Swimming Lesson Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching and working with children. As a Swimming Teacher, you will play a key role in helping our pupils develop their skills and confidence in the water.

Key responsibilities:

• To teach/coach all pupils on the programme to the standards set out by MDDC.
• To manage the class appropriately and maintain records.
• To assist in the cost-effective and efficient operation of the facility as designated by the Swimming Lesson Manager.
• To carry out duties in accordance with current codes of practice, MDDC, the Health and Safety at Work Act, Data Protection Act, Child Protection, and any other relevant legislation.

Requirements:

• STA Level 2 Award or Certificate, ASA Swimming Teacher Level 2.
• A team player with strong communication skills.
• Committed to personal development.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
