Chiller Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chiller Operative to join our team at Greencore Group Ltd. in Wisbech. As a Chiller Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our factory, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement and maintain SOPs, ensuring all daily machine safety checks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Oversee the production process, monitoring packs per minute (PPM) and ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Liaise with Line Leaders and engineers to address any issues or concerns, providing clear and concise reports.
  • Adhere to 'World Class' standards at all times, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a food factory environment, preferably with knowledge of SOPs and health and safety protocols.
  • Good level of English and maths skills, with basic understanding of health and safety and food hygiene principles.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
