Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Domestic Assistant to join our team at Southend University Hospital NHS Trust. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our hospital wards and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces and equipment.
  • Ensure that all areas are clean and tidy, including patient rooms, corridors, and public areas.
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages to inpatients.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure that all areas are maintained to a high standard.
  • Participate in deep cleaning and infection control activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or support role is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to a high standard.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Working Hours: 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5pm - 8.30pm.
