Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to older adults with mental health conditions. Your role will involve working as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients. You will also be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions and working closely with patients and their families to promote recovery and independence.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide specialist nursing assessments and develop treatment plans for older adults with mental health conditions.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote recovery and relapse prevention.
  • Work closely with patients and their families to promote independence and community inclusion.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Professional qualification (degree or equivalent) and current valid professional registration.
  • Experience of working in community mental health care with older adults.
  • Knowledge of National and local policy concerning mental health guidance.

Desirable Criteria

  • Postgraduate qualifications specifically relating to an appropriate aspect of care or management.
  • Experience of conducting clinical audit and presenting the resulting analysis.
