About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at HM Treasury. As a key member of our Growth Delivery Unit, you will play a critical role in shaping work on the Chancellor's top priorities on growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain innovative data products to communicate delivery progress on priority projects.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques and machine learning to extract delivery-relevant insight from data.
  • Establish data flows and pipelines from a wide range of sources across Whitehall.
  • Present evidence to senior civil servants and special advisers in a clear and engaging fashion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with analytical teams in No10, Cabinet Office, and across government.
About You

The successful candidate will have experience using Python to apply data science methods, following coding best practice, and working with Azure or other cloud platforms. You will have highly developed communication and networking skills and the ability to drive progress in the face of competing views and priorities.
