Exciting Opportunity for an EYFS Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic early years setting in Lytham St Annes. This full-time position offers a long-term opportunity to support children during their crucial developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality support in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities.
  • Work with small groups and individual children to enhance development in areas such as communication, literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional growth.
  • Monitor children's progress, keeping detailed records and providing feedback to the teacher and parents.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
  • Offer additional support for children with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they are fully integrated into all classroom activities.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in an EYFS setting is essential.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach, with a passion for helping young children flourish.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
