Job Summary

The Air Handling Unit Project Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for providing commercial and technical support to our field sales organization. This role requires a strong understanding of business principles and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical application support to the field sales organization on all aspects of Custom Air Units.
  2. Work with a small team to provide articulate resolutions to field selling organization requests for AHU project support.
  3. Develop and deliver application training and project management support on Air Handling Systems.
  4. Support customer visits and participate in testing of AHU selection and pricing software.
  5. Collaborate with field sales, manufacturing, engineering, and customer service to resolve Air Handling Unit order issues.
  6. Develop energy-efficient, cost-effective solutions for unique Air Handling Unit applications.
  7. Assist Airside Technical Service with field application issues.
  8. Develop technical documents to support field sales on various areas of air handling application.
  9. Work with marketing to develop selection and pricing software requirements.
  10. Apply complex problem-solving techniques to determine best techniques and procedures for energy analysis, design, and research of air handling products.
  11. Review and analyze engineering rules and documents as necessary.
  12. Recommend cost savings and value engineering alternatives for energy-efficient Air Handling Units and systems.
  13. Provide technical direction for other engineers, drafters, or technicians on specific work assignments.
  14. Prepare, check, and coordinate the release of documentation to support Custom Air Handling products.
  15. Conduct feasibility studies and systems analysis for new applications.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a BS degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or a related science, and 0 to 5 years' experience in a related field. Recent college graduates are also encouraged to apply.
