Job Summary

We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive with at least 2 years of PQE in private client law to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in probate and estate administration, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out client instructions in the most efficient and expedient way, providing accurate progress reports, and dealing effectively with client queries.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out client instructions in the most efficient and expedient way, having regard to the firm's professional and procedural standards.
  • Provide accurate progress reports for the client at regular intervals.
  • Deal effectively with client queries by telephone or by clear and detailed letter.
  • Maintain accurate records and an efficient and tidy filing system.
  • Meet budgeted fees and profit targets, where applicable.
  • Organise diary and prioritise work.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years of PQE in private client law.
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in handling private client matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload efficiently and effectively, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to organise and run a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to help and encourage less senior members of the department.
  • Co-operative and helpful attitude within a team environment.
  • Diligent and conscientious approach to work.
