Teaching Assistant with SEN Expertise

We are recruiting a highly skilled Teaching Assistant to support a non-verbal Year 2 student with Autism and Global Developmental Delay at Academics Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real difference in the student's life.
Role OverviewThe ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEN needs, particularly Autism and non-verbal communication. You will work closely with the teacher to develop and implement tailored learning plans, ensuring the student receives a high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:- Learning Plan Development: Collaborate with the teacher to create and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the student's unique requirements.
- Student Support: Provide one-to-one support to the student during KS1 lessons, adapting your approach as needed to meet their changing needs.
- Progress Evaluation: Maintain accurate records of the student's progress, highlighting areas of success and suggesting improvements where necessary.
- SEN Expertise: Proven experience working with children with SEN needs, specifically those with Autism and non-verbal communication challenges.
- Certification: Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate, demonstrating your commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Availability: Ability to commit to full-time hours from January 2025, ensuring consistency and stability for the student.
Remuneration: £83.50 - £90 per day, acknowledging the significance of your role in supporting the student's academic and personal development.
