Culinary Assistant

Welcome to Sapientia Education Trust, a leading institution dedicated to providing exceptional education and opportunities for our students. We are currently seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in the Catering Department.

We are looking for an experienced Cook who can assist and support the work of our Catering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production and service of meals and refreshments throughout the school day, as well as catering for all school functions and courses held during the school term and non-term time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals and refreshments to students and staff
• Cater for special events and functions, including school assemblies and extracurricular activities
• Maintain accurate stock control and rotation records
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of college meals
• Evaluate and improve kitchen processes and procedures

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Experience in a similar culinary role, preferably within an educational setting
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow health and safety guidelines

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, estimated at £23,773-£24,114 per annum, plus benefits including free on-site car parking, a generous pension scheme, and access to a cycle-to-work scheme.
