Job Title: IT Network and Security Engineering Manager

Immunocore is seeking an experienced IT Network and Security Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our IT Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the streamlined operation of technology and ensuring it aligns with the direction from the IT Director and business objectives of the Chief Information Officer and our executives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the dynamic Hybrid environment, encompassing virtualised and containerised IT systems, platforms, and infrastructure, focusing on seamlessly integrating systems and processes to align with business needs while prioritising the delivery of exceptional user experiences.
  2. Assist in design and architecture of IT infrastructure solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements, scalability needs, and security standards.
  3. Oversee the implementation and deployment of infrastructure projects, including HCI, IAAS, virtualisation, and Cloud technologies.
  4. Manage and maintain operating systems, containers, and middleware applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  5. Implement or manage security measures to protect IT infrastructure against unauthorised access, cyber threats, and data breaches.
  6. Implement monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the health, performance, and capacity of infrastructure components.
  7. Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and incidents related to IT infrastructure.
Requirements:

Essential:

  1. IT infrastructure acumen, planning/scheduling expertise, and demonstrated superior analytical abilities.
  2. 10+ years' experience in senior IT roles.
  3. Management of IT infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Cloud, B2B, Security, Wireless, and Hyperconverged implementations.
  4. Demonstrated leadership qualities through proactive team participation.

Desirable:

  1. Experience in Life Sciences or a Pharmaceutical company.

Education & Qualifications:

Essential:

  1. Certification/s in relevant IT disciplines; Level 3 experience in a similar position.

Work Conditions:

May require working irregular hours or travel locally, nationally, and occasionally internationally.
