Apprentice Automation Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced, special-purpose automation machinery that meets exacting standards and safety regulations.
- Lead new product development projects from inception to successful delivery, guiding teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure smooth product development and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation, ensuring every detail is covered, and present solutions to the Product Development Manager.
- Assist in on-site customer installations and testing of first-off products, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality.
Requirements:
- A degree in Engineering or relevant apprenticeship background.
- Over 3 years of experience in a design engineering role, with a focus on product innovation and automation technology.
- Expert-level CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred) and a strong understanding of geometrical tolerancing.
- Hands-on experience with prototype builds and testing, with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
- A full passport and the flexibility to travel internationally for occasional customer visits.
