Competitive Salary: £45k - £65k D.O.E

Fruition IT is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a bespoke software platform for a well-established tech-first business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a low-latency, high-performing connected platform using Terraform as the infrastructure as code and Node JS as the backend framework, deployed on an AWS platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into a scalable software solution.
  • Collaborate with agile teams to deliver software projects on time.
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Develop high-quality backend software in Java for a high-traffic environment.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices.
  • Work in an AWS environment and stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
  • Strong JavaScript development skills.
  • Experience with NodeJS and Terraform.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React on the frontend.
  • Good cloud exposure, preferably in AWS, but Azure or GCP is also acceptable.
  • Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MySQL.
  • Experience with microservices and REST APIs.
