Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year.

Job Description:

The Press Setup Coordinator will be responsible for setting up and supporting printing presses in accordance with printing specifications and customer requirements. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all company and safety policies are followed.
  • Achieve and maintain job objectives related to planning and execution of all jobs and quick changes.
  • Assist in external make-ready operations for changeover activities.
  • Perform clean-up activities following changeover.
  • Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.
  • Strip plates from cylinders.
  • Locate dies to and from press.
  • Collaborate with the press operator to view labels using a strobe light.
  • Comply with quality assurance specifications.
  • Complete quality assurance sheets and associated documentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace.
  • Work overtime when needed and as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Print shop experience beneficial but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read measurements.
  • Correctable vision to 20/20 and ability to differentiate colors.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Team player with high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities.
  • Self-motivated and able to follow instructions.
  • Ability to stand and move around press area for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Assertive and solution-focused individual.
