Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Ascott Transport Ltd. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and trailers to ensure compliance with DVSA standards.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a heavy goods vehicle workshop environment and possess relevant City and Guilds/NVQ/IRTEC qualifications.
A valid HGV driving license is desired but not essential.
About the Role- Perform routine maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
- Ensure that trucks meet safety and customer service standards.
Your day-to-day tasks will consist of:
- Carrying out road tests.
- Carrying out roadside repairs to own fleet vehicles and trailers.
- Carrying out planned routine maintenance to own fleet and 3rd party fleet.
- Carrying out MOT preparations on own fleet and 3rd party fleet.
- Responsible for the upkeep of scheduled maintenance records to ensure compliance of the company's Operator's licence.
- Support business with out-of-hours breakdown cover for own fleet vehicles.
